🚀✨ STEM + History = Powerful Learning ✨🚀
Mrs. Keen’s Kindergarten and 1st grade STEM students have been discovering the stories of some truly amazing African American women in history — especially women who made their mark in STEM! 💡🌟
Students read the inspiring picture books Hidden Figures and Mae Among the Stars, learning about brilliant women who reached for the stars and changed the world. 🌎💫
Then it was time to become engineers! 🚀 Students designed and created their very own rockets and launched them using air propulsion. The excitement was sky-high as they tested, launched, and watched their creations soar!
Future scientists, engineers, and astronauts are in the making right here! 💙
