The Suwannee County School District will resume regular operations on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make the best decisions for the safety and well-being of our faculty, staff, and students.
Thank you for your continued support!

Superintendent Ronnie Gray has announced that as of the date and time of this notice, the Suwannee County School District, working closely with local emergency management, consultation with the Florida Department of Emergency Management, and the National Weather Service, has decided to close school operations for Wednesday, January 22, 2025. During this closure period, there will be no before or after-school activities, including athletic events or practices. The Suwannee County School District will resume regular operations on Thursday, January 23, 2025, weather and conditions permitting. Any changes to this plan of action will be communicated by 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday afternoon, January 22, 2025, through the District’s website, social media, and local and regional television and radio broadcasts.
School bus operations are a central part of the decision to close school tomorrow. Current forecasts indicate the potential for icy roadways, which could create hazardous driving conditions.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to make the best possible decisions, based on the information available at a given time.

All Suwannee County District schools will operate on the Early Release Bell Schedule on Friday, December 20, 2024, to kick off the Christmas holiday break. Please plan accordingly.
We wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May you all enjoy a relaxing and safe holiday!
