SPE is excited to welcome Miss Kayla Thomas to our team as a Kindergarten teacher! Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
Hey, I’m Kayla Thomas!
For the past two years, I’ve had the joy of working as a Pre-K Lead Paraprofessional, and I absolutely love guiding little learners as they explore the world around them. One of my favorite parts of the job is creating fun, hands-on activities that spark curiosity and make learning exciting!
I recently earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and will be heading back to school this July to begin my Master’s program. 🎓
Outside of the classroom, you’ll find me listening to music, spending time with my family, and finding creative ways to stay inspired.
I’m passionate about helping kids grow, discover, and enjoy every step of their learning journey. Here's to another year of growth, fun, and learning together! 💛📚

Stakeholder Engagement & Comprehensive Needs Assessment for Federal Programs
2024-25 Survey for 2025-26 Federal Programs Planning
The Suwannee County School District (SCSD) values your voice! As we plan for the 2025-26 school year, we are seeking input to help shape how we use Federal Education Funds under Titles I-V and Title IX.
💬 Your feedback plays an essential role in ensuring our programs and resources support student achievement across the district. Each year, SCSD submits applications for federal funding—and stakeholder input is a critical part of that process.
👉 Please take a few minutes to review the information and complete the survey to help guide our priorities and planning for the upcoming school year.

31st Annual Egg Drop
SPE recently held its 31st Annual Egg Drop, a fun and educational tradition that brings science to life! Students put their engineering skills to the test, designing creative ways to protect their eggs from a high drop.
A special thank you to Suwannee Valley Electric for your continued assistance and support with this annual event, and to Dunn Acres for capturing the excitement with stunning drone footage.
We look forward to this hands-on opportunity each year as students learn about gravity, force, weight, and design in a real-world context!

Join Us for the 5th Annual STEMposium at SPE!
Get ready for an exciting event where students will showcase their STEM projects and demonstrate their creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
We’re also thrilled to welcome community stakeholders who will share how their work connects to the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
